Eye Exams and Vision Care at Optical Images

Optical Images is pleased to provide full vision and eye care services including routine eye examinations. Our Optometrist (eye doctor) can examine you for eyeglasses, sunglasses or contact lenses. Eye examinations are especially important when it comes to kids and young adults. Routine eye exams and frequency of your eye examinations depends on a variety of factors such as age, general health, whether your family has a history of eye problems and whether you have been diagnosed or treated for any eye conditions or diseases in the past.

During a comprehensive eye exam, your eye doctor does much more than just determine your prescription for eyeglasses or contact lenses. We check your eyes for common diseases, assess how your eyes work together as a team and evaluate your eyes as an indicator of your overall health.

Everyone needs to have their eyes examined by an optometrist on a regular basis. When it comes to adults, eye exams should be done at varying frequencies, depending on certain factors. For adults over the age of 40 who have normal vision, and exam every 2 years is sufficient. Adults who wear glasses or prescription contact lenses should see the eye doctor once a year. It is also recommended that adults over the age of 60 have annual eye exams as this age-group is more prone to eye disorders.

* Eye Exams at Optical Images by appointment only.
