The newest contact lenses on the market are made of a material called silicone hydro-gel. This material lets more oxygen reach the eye and greatly extends wearing time. Some lenses can be left in the eyes for 30 days, even 60 days! Whether your nearsighted, farsighted, astigmatic or require bifocals, there is a contact lens available to fit your prescription. There are 4 main types (regarding length they can be worn)
- Daily Contact Lenses (12 hour usage before disposing of them)
- 2 week disposable lenses
- Monthly wear contact lenses
- Contact Lenses that can be used for more than 6 months
